John Marlow

Vice Chairperson, Vice President, U.S. Engineering Construction

John Marlow is Vice President for U.S. Engineering Construction in the Rocky Mountain region. U.S. Engineering Construction (USEC) is a mechanical contractor which celebrated its 125th Anniversary in 2018. While USEC is a mechanical contractor, it does not want to be recognized only as such. USEC believes its team members are not only stewards of the company but also the industry and the communities in which it serves and where its team members live. USEC’s mission is to “Leave a Legacy” and the way they want to do this is by helping their clients accomplish each of their missions. USEC realizes they are building more than just buildings…they are building lasting relationships by doing more than just mechanical contracting.

Throughout John’s career, he’s continually stepped up and taken on more responsibility from project engineer to executive. John always believes in helping and mentoring those with whom he works as well as giving back to communities and the construction industry. Since 2006, John teaches twice a year at the University of Texas, Austin, for Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA). He also was an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Colorado State University (CSU), from 2007-2009.

John holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from CSU. He volunteers for ThereWithCare, serves on the Professional Advisory Development Board for the Construction Management program at CSU and is on the National Board for MCAA. In addition to this, John chairs USEC’s annual charity golf tournament for the region.

When not at work, John is spending time enjoying the outdoors playing golf, pickleball, camping and more. He has four adult children.
