Jackie was in the venture capital business for thirteen years, the last several as a partner overseeing the affairs of a venture capital firm with offices in the US, Canada and Europe. As administrative partner, Jackie was responsible for operational & transactional activities as well as quarterly reporting and investor relations. When she left venture capital she focused more of her time consulting with non-profit organizations. She is most passionate about working with community-focused non-profits that engage individuals and businesses locally. Jackie served as trustee for Cambridge, UK-based Wallace Cancer Care, dedicated to providing complementary care and practical support to cancer patients and their families. She volunteered and served as director and secretary of the board for the Greater Bay Area Make-A-Wish Foundation, raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and volunteered as a coach and mentor for San Francisco-based Girls on the Run. Jackie was drawn to the transforming effect of There With Care’s simple and kind approach to care; to listen, and do what is most helpful for each and every family.
