Oliver A. Evans is a Managing Partner at Apercus Holdings, a family office based out of Woodside, CA. He also serves as an advisory board member for Lead Edge Capital and Metropolitan Partners, investment funds based in New York, NY, as well as being in the process of joining the boards of two technology companies based in London, UK. Previously (2008-14) Oliver was a co-founder and portfolio manager at Dorsal Capital Management, a $1.25B public-market technology fund based out of Redwood City, CA. Oliver graduated from Oxford University in 1999 with a Double First in Classics, and was President of the Oxford Union Society (1997). After time at Bain & Company in London and New York, he worked as an analyst and portfolio manager at Intrinsic Investors in Stamford, Connecticut (2006-8).
He holds an MBA from Harvard University, where he was a Baker Scholar (2004). Oliver has been active in supporting causes in education, healthcare, and the arts. He is on the Regional Committee for the Harvard Business School Capital Campaign, The Board of Benefactors at Christ Church, Oxford (recently endowing a professorship in Ancient History), and is a member of the board at Music at Menlo, a month-long classical music festival in Menlo Park organized by some of the world’s pre-eminent chamber musicians. He and his wife Chandler are also active supporters of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital and Stanford Hospital, where Chandler serves on the board. His interests include swimming, golf, classical music, bridge, and classical literature. Oliver and Chandler have three young girls: Elliot (7), Caroline (4), and Alexandra (1).
